Lecture on Career Opportunities in Home Science was organized at the Government Post Graduate College for Women, Rohtak (3 September 2026).

A special lecture on “Career Opportunities in Home Science” was organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Club in collaboration with the Department of Home Science at Government Post Graduate College for Women, Rohtak. Professor Santosh Hooda from Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya, Khanpur Kalan, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while the program was presided over by Ritu Hooda, Head of the Department of Home Science.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Santosh Hooda, elaborated on the concept of entrepreneurship and highlighted self-employment as a promising career option. She encouraged the students to aspire not merely to seek jobs but to become job creators. She also motivated the students by highlighting the diverse placement and career opportunities available in various branches of Home Science. Drawing on her professional journey, she emphasized the importance of becoming self-reliant and economically independent.
The Principal of the college, Dr. Shamsher Singh Hooda, emphasized the significance of entrepreneurship in nation-building. He stated that in the present era, young people should aspire not only to become job seekers but also job providers. He encouraged the students to explore innovative ideas and take up new start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures.
The program was successfully conducted with the active support and cooperation of Dr. Sonia, in charge of the Entrepreneurship Development Club; committee members Dr. Sanket and Dr. Princy; and faculty members of the Department of Home Science, Dr. Pankaj Sharma and Monika Narang, along with the students of the college.
