Five-day Photography Workshop (14th January -19th January 2026)

A five-day Photography Workshop (14th January -19th January 2026) is being organized through the collaborative efforts of the Women Cell and the Department of Fine Arts at Government PG College for Women, Rohtak. The workshop is being conducted with great enthusiasm and active student participation, with a total of 57 students enrolled. The resource person for the workshop is Mr. Rijul Gupta, a freelance photographer from Shimla and a trained professional from the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad. The Convener of the Women Cell, Dr. Neeraj Kadian, the Head of the Department of Fine Arts, Dr. Deepanjali Dayal, along with other faculty members of the college—Dr. Ekta, Dr. Barkha, Dr. Rajini, Ms. Navesha, Dr. Subhash Balhara, Dr. Phool Kumar, and Dr. Kiran Bala—were present to encourage and congratulate the students for their enthusiastic participation. The Principal, Dr. Shamsher Hooda, lauded the students for their enthusiastic participation and creative commitment to the Photography Workshop. He appreciated their keen interest in exploring visual expression and emphasized that such skill-based and creative initiatives play a vital role in nurturing artistic sensibility, confidence, and critical observation among students. He encouraged the participants to make the most of this learning opportunity by experimenting, observing their surroundings with a creative eye, and translating their perspectives into powerful visual narratives. An exhibition showcasing the photographs captured by the students, highlighting the ambience of the college, will be displayed on 19 January 2026 in the College Exhibition Gallery.
